The discovery
After numerous setbacks, I found what I was looking for: the Hernandez family in Mexico. Their plantation, inherited from their grandparents, still produces according to centuries-old tradition. Through intensive contact, I discovered their unique lavado technique - specially developed for drinking chocolate.

No marketing hypes. No cultural appropriation. No social media tricks. Only pure, traditional Mexican cocoa, as it has been made for generations.
My personal mission is to revive the authentic Mexican drinking chocolate culture, as it was meant to be. Fair trade that supports local families. Good for people, animals and nature. A centuries-old tradition that endures.
